The Nov. 29 sale was for timber in the Noble Fork of Wisconsin Creek, California Creek, East Fork of Granite Creek, and South Meadow Creek drainages of the Tobacco Root Mountains.
The total sale price was $285,750.20 for 20,280 tons of Softwood Products and 500 tons of Biomass material.
The sale, known as the South Tobacco Roots Phase I timber sale, was for an 886-acre salvage, sanitation, and commercial thinning harvest located in Township 4 South, Range 4 West, Sections 5 and 6, Township 5 South, Range 3 West, Sections 16 and 17, and Township 5 South, Range 2 West, Sections 3, 10, 17, 20 and 21.
As the successful bidder, RY Timber, Inc. has the option to negotiate for additional volume of up to 10,611 tons of Softwood Products and 310 tons of Biomass material on up to 224 acres included in nine Optional Harvest Units in the Ramshorn Creek, California Creek, and Mill Gulch drainages.
