Forest visitors are urged to use caution when building and tending campfires, warming fires, cooking fires, and fires in wood stoves. The potential for wildfire still exists despite recent rains and cooler temperatures. Never leave a fire unattended and always make sure the campfire is dead-out before leaving the site.
Public-use restrictions are updated on the toll-free message line at 1-877-958-9663 and are also available online at: www.fs.usda.gov/umatilla/.
