During the show, visitors to ODFW’s exhibit can also purchase a license or tag, try out online hunting and fish stocking maps and other ODFW applications, and pick up informational materials on how to fish, hunt, clam and crab. ODFW Outdoors, the department’s education program, will have its new 2013 calendar of workshops and clinics available.
Oregon State Police will also be on hand with their exhibit about the problem of poaching in Oregon and with display decoys. OSP is available talk to hunters and anglers about a variety of enforcement issues, including the new barbless hook rules in the Columbia and Willamette Rivers.
“We hope everyone will stop by the show,” said ODFW Deputy Information and Education Administrator David Lane. “It’s a great chance to meet with fish and wildlife managers face to face, and they enjoy meeting hunters and anglers, too.”
ODFW will also host exhibits at the Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show (March 7-10, Redmond), the Eastern Oregon Sportsmen Show (March 8-10, Pendleton), and outdoor shows in Roseburg (Feb. 15-17) and Medford (Feb. 22-24).
