All of the fires are being staffed and supported with helicopter water drops and aerial patrols. Fire managers anticipate all of the fires will be under control Saturday.
Additional resources including Smoke Jumpers from McCall, Idaho and a Type 3 helicopter are supporting the suppression efforts.
No structures are threatened.
“Fires this early in the season are primarily due to a combination of factors; the lack of snow pack, the above average temperatures, lack of spring rain and recent thunderstorm activity have contributed to the ignitions.” said Linda Steinhaus Boise National Forest Public Affairs.
Firefighters and aerial patrols will monitor throughout the weekend for any additional starts or holdovers. Continued hot temperatures are predicted for the weekend.
