Salmon River Ranger District –
The Sheep Fire, located seven miles north of Riggins, ID, is presently 47, 648 acres with 41% containment. Yesterday, a warm, sunny morning changed to cool, cloudy sky by mid-afternoon, light rain showers were widespread over the fire.
Management of the fire transitioned from Turman’s Type 1 Northern Rockies Team to Rick Kusicko’s Type 2 Northern Rockies Team at 6am today.

Red River Ranger District –
The McGuire Complex Fire is approximately 42,234 acres with 10% containment. Yesterday’s very light rain that fell on the fire area in the afternoon will not have a significant effect on fire behavior, and analysts expect the next several days to be very dry and warm.
Management of the McGuire Complex and Porcupine Complex fires transitioned to Greg Poncin’s Northern Rockies Type 1 Team today at 6am.
All Evacuation Orders remain in place: Stage 3 Evacuation Order by Idaho County Sheriff for, Mallard Creek Ranch, Cook Ranch, Dixie/Comstock and Concord residents. Stage 3 evacuation request reduced to stage 2 evacuation warning in Orogrande due to a decrease in fire activity. Stage 2 evacuation order for the Red River area and Stage 1 evacuation alert for the Elk City area.
Road Closures: The Crooked River Road (Road 233), at the junction with Highway 14, remains closed to nonresidents, despite the evacuation change. Road 222 is closed to all access, including residents, from Trapper Creek Road south to the community of Dixie. Conditions permitting, a pilot car will escort residents from the Trapper Creek Road junction into Dixie at 8:00 a.m. each day; the pilot car will leave Dixie at 9:00 a.m. to escort residents to the Trapper Creek Road junction. Residents must be at the Trapper Creek Road Junction before 5p.m. to be escorted back into Dixie; the pilot car will leave Dixie at 6p.m. to escort residents to the Trapper Creek Road Junction. Residents must be prepared to spend several days in or away from Dixie if fire activity and roadway conditions prevent them from being escorted into and out of Dixie. Forest Road 1190 from Trapper Creek to Dixie Summit is closed to all access, including residents. Forest Road 1190 from Trapper Creek and Forest Road 421 from Red Mail Box to the Whitewater area are closed to all nonresidents. The Crooked River Road, at the junction with Highway 14, is closed to everyone except residents.

The Porcupine Fire Complex is reporting 33,248 acres and 0% contained. The Magruder Road (FR 468) is closed from the junction of Green Mt. Road (FR 285) to Observation Point for public safety during active wildfire conditions. Powell Ranger District –
Both the Powell SBW Complex and Weasel Complex Fires are reporting minimal activity - Powell SBW Complex at approximately 59,000 acres and the Weasel Complex reporting approximately 1000 acres. There are area, road and trail closures in effect for the fire areas. The closure order has been recently modified, check www.inciweb.org for a full description and map. Please follow wildfire fighting personnel directions when you are in the area. Be prepared for heavy smoke in the area of Highway 12 near Powell, ID. Drive with your headlights on for your safety.
North Fork Ranger District –
Isabella Complex active. The 710 Road is now open. All other road and trail closures remain in effect: FR 252, FR 720 at Fly Hill, FR 705, Lost Ridge Trail 283 from the junction of FR 252 to the junction of Trail 233, Forest Trail 285, and Isabella Creek Trail 95 from the junction of FR 705 to the junction of Trail 399. If you are in the area of these fires, be prepared for the Management Teams preventing you from unrestricted area access.
Moose Creek Ranger District –
New total acreage is estimated at 47,786.

Wesley Fire, Payette National Forest
The Wesley Fire is backing with single tree torching. The current acreage is 15, 289 and it is 63% contained. Type 1 (Lund) team will be transferring command back to the local unit today. There is a portion of the Nez Perce NF Salmon River Ranger District that is closed to entry due to the Wesley Fire. This fire is burning 12 miles north-northwest of New Meadows, ID.
