The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Casper Field Office has postponed the National Public Lands Day (NPLD) event scheduled Sept. 29 on Muddy Mountain.
According to Casper Field Office Manager Joe Meyer, “We are temporarily looking at changing the project in response to the Sheep Herder Hill Fire. We will notify the public when we schedule the next event.”
NPLD is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy. In 2011, 170,000 volunteers built trails and bridges, removed trash and invasive plants, planted trees, and restored our water resources.
