A public meeting to discuss the project will be held in Philipsburg at the Granite County Museum and Cultural Center, 135 South Sansome Street, on Feb. 10 from 6-7 p.m. The public comment period ends on Feb. 14.
Under the proposed project, the new road would connect Rumsey Road, an existing Granite County road, to an existing private road near the northwest-extents of the applicant’s property and would include the construction of a new bridge across Fred Burr Creek on BLM-managed land.
The Environmental Assessment detailing the project is available for public viewing at the Missoula Field Office, 3255 Fort Missoula Road, and on the BLM website at www.blm.gov/mt/st/en/fo/missoula_field_office.html
