The topic of the session is "Mining in Idaho: What does it mean for my community?. Questions to ask when a mining company comes to town."
The presentation will review lessons learned from mines across Idaho and focus on how the public can have a voice in the permitting process.
The Idaho Conservation League is Idaho's largest statewide conservation organization and works in part to protect Idaho's clean water and public health from toxic mining pollution.
ICL also partners with mining companies in Idaho in places where mining activities can be conducted responsibly.
