Evacuation Stages description: “Level 1, 2 and 3 Evacuation Status is akin to a ‘Ready, Set, Go’ level of evacuation notices: Level 1 asking residents to be ready to evacuate if conditions change, Level 2 means residents should be set to go at a moment’s notice, and Level 3 means authorities are advising residents evacuate because their homes are in imminent danger.” The Level 1 alert is a notification that wildfire is in the area, and the level of danger rises from there.
The Idaho Dept. of Environmental Quality air quality advisory remains at the rating of “unhealthy” for Idaho and Clearwater Counties until significant improvement. The definition guideline for “unhealthy” is: 1.5 – 3 miles visibility, sensitive people should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion. Everyone else should reduce prolonged heavy exertion.
Salmon River Ranger District – no new wildfire starts
The Sheep Fire, located seven miles north of Riggins, ID, is presently 44,581 acres (69.7 square miles) with 28% containment. Significant progress was made yesterday towards containing the Sheep Fire, but a large area closure remains in place for the fire. Turman’s Northern Rockies Type 1 IMT is managing the fire. Tonight there will be a community meeting in White Bird, ID at the White Bird IOOF Hall, 6 pm PDT. Contact Sheep Fire Information for more details.

Red River Ranger District – no new wildfire starts
The McGuire Complex Fire is presently 38,671 acres (60.4 square miles), with 4% containment. All Evacuation Orders remain in place: Stage 3 Evacuation Order by Idaho County Sheriff for Concord, Mallard Creek Ranch, Cook Ranch, Dixie/Comstock and Orogrande residents, Stage 2 Evacuation Order for the Red River area and Stage 1 Protection Alert for the Elk City area. The California Interagency IMT 5 is managing the fire.

The Porcupine Fire Complex is reporting 28,889 acres (45.1 square miles) and 0% contained. The MaGruder Road (FR 468) is closed from the junction of Green Mt. Road (FR 285) to Observation Point for public safety during active wildfire conditions. Powell Ranger District – no new wildfire starts – no substantive changes in District wildfires
Both the Powell SBW Complex and Weasel Complex Fires are reporting minimal activity, with the acreage estimated the same – Powell SBW Complex at 51,700 acres (80.8 square miles) and the Weasel Complex reporting approximately 1000 acres. There are area, road and trail closures in effect for the fire areas. Please follow wildfire fighting personnel directions when you are in the area.
North Fork Ranger District – no new wildfire starts – no substantive changes in District wildfires
All wildfires on the District – Skull, Isabella Complex, Elizabeth, Pot Mountain Complex, and Ellie Lake Fires are showing minimal growth, and total acreage for all fires is estimated to be less than 1900 acres. All road and trail closures remain in effect: FR 252, FR 710, FR 720 at Fly Hill, Lost Ridge Trail 283 from the junction of FR 252 to the junction of Trail 233, Forest Trail 285, and Isabella Creek Trail 95 from the junction of FR 705 to the junction of Trail 399. If you are in the area of these fires, be prepared for the Management Teams preventing you from unrestricted area access.
Lochsa Ranger District – no new wildfire starts – no substantive changes in District wildfires

Moose Creek Ranger District – no new wildfire starts – no substantive changes in District wildfires
