Salmon River Ranger District –
The Sheep Fire located seven miles north of Riggins is 15,902 acres.
An area closure has been issued for the fire. The restricted area begins at the Forest Boundary at Forest Road 2025, east to Forest Road 243, and east along Forest Road 243 to the junction of Forest Road 221 at Four Corners. From junction Forest Road 221 and 243 south to Rocky Bluff Campground. From Rocky Bluff Campground south along the Wilderness Boundary to the Salmon River. From Carey Creek west along the Salmon River and Forest Road 1614 to the Forest Boundary near Island Bar and north along the Forest Boundary to Forest Road 243. Forest Road 309 (Hungry Ridge Road) is closed south to the junction at Forest Road 221. Forest Roads 2025, 243 and 1614 are currently open.

Red River Ranger District –
The McGuire Fire Complex is 24,002 acres. Stage 2 Evacuation Warnings were issued for the Red River and Mallard Creek/Cook Ranch areas. The complex is managed by Shawn Pearson’s Northern Rockies Type II Incident management Team. The Porcupine Fire Complex is 17,800 acres. Magruder Road #468 is closed to Granite Springs – anticipate opening for fire traffic only. The West Fork Ranger District just announced that they have closed their side of the Magruder Road.
Powell Ranger District –
The Powell SBW Fire Complex is 41,732 acres and is being managed by Diane Hutton’s Wildland Fire Management Team. For current information on this complex of fires please see the fact sheet at http://www.inciweb.org/incident/3226/
North Fork Ranger District –
Twelve new fires were reported. The Skull Fire is 220 acres – it jumped Collins Creek and crews are doing structure protection on the Collins Creek Bridge. Eight jumpers were dispatched to the Peak Fire and four jumpers were dispatched to the Hidden Creek fire. There are several unstaffed fires. More information on these fires will be included in the next update.
Moose Creek Ranger District –
The district reported one new fire on Idaho Point – it is staffed and crews plan on wrapping it up today.

· 10 Bell Point 582 acres (Bell Point is being managed by Diane Huttons team out of Powell)
