Incident: The fire complex consists of the McGuire, Bagely and Herman wildland fires, which were all started by lightning on 8/27.
Location: Five miles west of Dixie, ID.
Agency Jurisdiction: USDA Forest Service, Nez Perce–Clearwater National Forests
Cooperating Agencies: Idaho County Sheriff’s Department
Incident Commander: Shawn Pearson, Northern Rockies Type II Incident Management Team (IMT). The Incident Command Post (ICP) is located at the old Red River Ranger Station, with fire camp located in the York field at Red River.

STAGE 2 EVACUATION WARNING ISSUED FOR RED RIVER AREA
Due to recent fire activity on the McGuire Fire Complex, the Incident Management Team requested the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office issue a Stage 2 Evacuation Warning for the Red River area effective immediately. A Sheriff’s Deputy will be informing local residents of the Evacuation Warning. The warning indicates there is a good probability of a need to evacuate and it is recommended that persons requiring extraordinary care, large mobile property and livestock be evacuated from the area. Fire in the McGuire Complex is actively burning towards the northeast. Local residents and public concerned about the McGuire Fire Complex are encouraged to call the public information line listed above.
