· Effective immediately, per the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, the Stage 3 evacuation for the Selway River Corridor has been reduced to a Stage 2.
o Selway River residences are permitted to return to their homes. The river corridor will remain restricted to the general public. There will be a guard posted at the Clearwater River Bridge at the confluence of the Clearwater and the Selway Rivers to enforce the Stage 2 restriction.
· Effective August 13 2014, per the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, a Stage 2 evacuation for US Highway 12 for five miles in each direction from the town of Lowell.
o Stage 2 means that there is an increasing potential threat that the fire will move into the area and threatened lives and property. Residents in Stage 2 should prepare to leave at a moment’s notice. Residents requiring extraordinary care should make plans to leave immediately. People who may need to relocate livestock should consider making early preparations to round up the livestock and be ready to leave quickly.
· Effective August 12 2014, the Nez Perce Clearwater National Forests have established a road closure for Forest road #223 from O’Hara Bridge to the river confluence of the Selway River and the Clearwater River. FS road #464 from Elk City to O’Hara Bridge is also closed.
· Effective August 14 2014, Nez Perce Clearwater National Forests area closure order # 14-D6-NP-11 has been rescinded.
US Highway 12 is open.
