The Proposed Action (Alternative A) and the No Grazing Alternative (Alternative B) descriptions are contained in the EA which also describes the environmental analysis conducted for this project. The EA has been posted to the Tripod-Pine Range Project webpage: Tripod-Pine Range Project. How to Comment on the Tripod-Pine Range Project:
Written, facsimile, hand-delivered, oral, and electronic comments will be accepted for 30 calendar days following the publication of a legal notice in the Emmett Messenger-Index (Newspaper of Record). The legal notice was published on August 15, 2012. The publication date in the newspaper of record is the only means for calculating the comment period for this analysis. Those wishing to comment should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source. The regulations prohibit extending the length of the comment period.
Written comments must be submitted to: Boise National Forest, ATTN: Melissa Yenko, 1249 South Vinnell Way, Suite 200, Boise, ID 83709. The office hours for those submitting hand-delivered comments are: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Oral comments must be provided at the Boise National Forest Supervisor’s office at the address above during normal business hours, via telephone 208-373-4245, or in person.
Comments may also be submitted through the Tripod-Pine Range Project website: Tripod-Pine Range Project. To submit comments using the web form select “Comment on Project” under “Get Connected” on the right panel of the project’s webpage.
Email comments must be submitted in a format such as an email message, plain text (.txt), rich text format (.rtf), and Word (.doc) to email@example.com. Please put “Tripod-Pine Range Project” in the subject line of e-mail comments. Comments must have an identifiable name attached or verification of identity will be required. A scanned signature may serve as verification on electronic comments.
Those who provide comments or otherwise express interest during this comment period are eligible to appeal the decision pursuant to the 36 CFR regulations and the April 24, 2006, order issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana in Case No. 03-119-M-DWM. Each individual or representative from each organization that provides comment or otherwise expresses interest in the project must either sign the comments or otherwise verify identity in order to attain appeal eligibility.
