Firefighters have made good progress with indirect and direct suppression efforts on the southwest flank of the fire, in the Meadow Creek area. A helicopter has been available and able to assist on-the-ground firefighters with water-bucket drops, when those have been needed. Firefighters continue to monitor and suppress any spot fires in the lower portion of the Copper Creek drainage, as it is safe to do so. Fire personnel continue to monitor the main fire with in the Scapegoat Wilderness.
Tomorrow weather conditions are predicted to continue to slightly improve with temperatures in the low 70s during the day, increased relative humidity levels at 21-29% and lighter winds from the southwest and later shifting to the west at 5 mph. All trail and area closures remain in effect.
