Detected: July 22th – lightning caused
Location: Approximately one mile northeast of Dunham Point, Seeley Lake Ranger District
Current size: 8.3 acres Containment: 75%
Summary: Firefighters made good progress on the fire yesterday. The fire behavior is minimal. Firefighters will continue working towards full containment today and fire managers expect to begin demobilizing resources over the next 24 hours.
Resources on Fire: Two crews, two water tenders, one TII helicopter are also supporting fire suppression efforts.
Today’s Plan: Firefighters will locate and extinguish spot fires and work towards full containment. One crew and a water tender were released this morning. Tentative release of both TI crews, one water tender and misc. this evening.
Closures: Center Ridge Trail 246 on the Seeley Lake Ranger District has been closed from the Monture Guard Station trailhead north to its junction with Center Creek Trail 463. Closure order will be rescinded once fire activity permits
