The scheduled maintenance is to improve the sustainability of Crawfish Trail. The group plans to use a method called “armoring” the trail. Armoring is the use of large rocks to harden and prevent erosion on portions of the trail with drainage issues.
Forest visitors interested in hiking or biking Crawfish Trail are encouraged to visit other local trails until the maintenance is completed. A suggested alternative is another portion of nearby Brice Creek Trail.
