TWIN FALLS, ID – Mid-winter may seem early to think about working for the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) fire program, but the Twin Falls District Fire and Aviation staff have already begun the process for hiring temporary, seasonal employees, firefighters and support staff for the summer of 2015.
The BLM is now accepting applications from people who are interested in rigorous outdoor work; have excellent character and work ethic; and want to earn a good wage this summer.
Applications for employment with the BLM for the summer of 2015 will be accepted now through January 28th, 2015, for most jobs. Please read the announcements carefully for any early consideration dates. Only on-line applications will be accepted, and those interested should visitwww.idahofireinfo.blm.gov.
Jobs range from working as a member on a fuels, engine or helitack crew to administrative aid or dispatch positions. Applicants must be 18 years old by the first day of hire, be a U.S. citizen and have a high school diploma or GED. BLM fire jobs offer excellent summer earnings; possible continuous summer employment based on performance; annual and sick leave benefits; and travel to other districts or states.
BLM fire professionals will be on hand to assist interested applicants with the on-line application process today until 8 PM at the College of Southern Idaho Health Science and Human Services Building, Room 229, and again on January 12, from 3 – 8 PM in the same location.
