The four member-at-large positions include one member of the conservation community in Southern Nevada; one member who resides in Clark County and has a background that reflects the purposes for which the monument was established; and two members who reside in Clark County, Nevada, or adjacent counties, both of whom shall have experience in the field of paleontology, obtained through higher education, experience or both.
Individuals wishing to apply for one of the member-at-large positions should submit a nomination packet to Christie Vanover, Public Affairs Officer, Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City, Nevada 89005 or email@example.com.
Information packets should include the nominee’s full name, home address, email and phone number along with a resume providing an adequate description of the nominee’s qualifications, including information that would enable the Department of Interior to make an informed decision regarding meeting the membership requirements of the council.
Nomination packets must be postmarked by July 2, 2015. Members will be appointed by the Secretary of Interior for a term of three years.
