Transplant permits are $5.00 for one tree or shrub up to eight feet in height. There is a minimum purchase of four permits and a maximum of 15 transplant permits per household per calendar year.
Permits must be obtained prior to transplanting, and selected plants must be tagged before transporting from the digging site. Plants over eight feet in height shall not be cut or transplanted.
A transplant permit guide, which includes rules, closed areas, and transplanting tips, will be distributed with the permits at the time of purchase. This guide also lists which species of trees and shrubs may be transplanted.
