The different applications will request funding through the Departments Off-Road Motor Vehicle (ORMV), Recreation Trails Program (RTP), Recreational Road and Bridge (RRB), and Recreational Vehicle (RV) programs.
- ORMV/RTP funds would improve maintenance across a large cross section of the 500 miles of motorized trails within the three northern districts.
- ORMV funds would be utilized to provide directional and regulatory signing throughout the State designated Area 8B snowgrooming trails as well as improve trailhead signing at the snowmobile parking lots.
- RV/RRB funds would pave ½ mile of FS Road 671 alongside Silver Creek Campground to mitigate/abate traffic generated roadway dust.
All grant proposals will improve the visitor experience, and mitigate public health and safety hazards. If received, implementation of the trails and RRB grants would begin in late summer, the snowgrooming trail signing will occur for the 2015/2016 winter season, and the RV/RRB grant would be implemented in the fall.
