Today MEIC, in cooperation with our conservation allies, is launching a video and social media campaign to raise awareness about the importance of Montana's famed Smith River and the threat of the mine. Please watch the video at www.SaveOurSmith.com, and share the video and your Smith River experiences, so that Montana and the world know that the Smith River is not the place for another failed mining experiment.
Citizens from across Montana, including Smith River recreationists, landowners, outfitters, and ranchers, supported by conservation advocates such as MEIC, have produced the short video, which highlights the deep connection that Montanans have for Montana’s only permitted recreational river. We encourage you to post your personal stories and photos of the Smith River online and to use the hash tags #saveoursmith and #savesmithrivertrout.
“Smith River Memories” features Montanans such as renowned artist Monte Dolack, outfitters Paul Roos and Mike Bushly, and outdoors columnist Greg Tollefson. The video and additional information on the Smith River Mine can be accessed online at www.SaveOurSmith.com.
Thanks for all that you
do to Save Our Smith!
