Eighty photos met the contest’s eligibility requirements and from them winners were selected in five categories: fishing, hunting, crabbing, clamming and wildlife viewing. Each winner will receive a $50 gift card to Cabela’s.
The winning photos and several runner-up photos can be seen on the ODFW website. In the future, these photos and others also may be showcased on ODFW’s website, in promotional materials and on social media channels.
Tom Armour of Tigard won the fishing category with an image of salmon anglers in the early morning fog on the Trask River.
Lyndon Graham, Hillsboro, submitted an image of dogs on point while chukar hunting on the John Day River near Condon.
Ken Gagne, Yachats, photographed Greg Anderson celebrating his crabbing success in the ocean off Newport.
Julie Woodman of North Bend caught Kylee Woodman digging in the mud after bay clams near the North Bend Bridge.
Jane Pittenger, Florence, won for a bird’s-eye view of a sandhill crane flyover at the Summer Lake Wildlife Refuge.
