ROSEBURG, OR – January 30, 2015 – Campers can now reserve campsites in advance at Thielsen View, Eagle Rock, Horseshoe Bend, and Bogus Creek campgrounds, thereby ensuring that their favorite, and potentially secluded, campsite at Diamond Lake or on the North Umpqua River is available upon their arrival.
· Thielsen View Campground: sites C1-C20
· Eagle Rock Campground: sites 7-17
· Horseshoe Bend Campground: sites 6-12
· Bogus Creek Campground: sites 3-7
“Campers who are planning that well-deserved summer vacation now have added reassurance that there is a campsite ready and waiting for them to enjoy the great outdoors,” said Recreation Staff Officer, Jennifer Taylor.
Campsites can be reserved starting six months, and generally up to four days, before the planned arrival date. Campground reservations can be made throughwww.recreation.gov or by phoning 1-877-444-6777. Many sites in the four campgrounds remain on a first-come, first-served basis.
