Fremont-Winema National Forest Park Ranger Mike Pakes will lead the hike. Pakes will lead discussions along the hike that will include backpacking and camping in wilderness areas.
Participants are asked to meet at the Nannie Trailhead on the national forest’s Klamath Ranger District at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The trailhead is one hour and 10 minutes northwest of Klamath Falls. To reach the trailhead, take Oregon Highway 140 west toward Medford, turn right onto Westside Road or County Road 531, and then turn left onto Forest Service Road 3484. The trailhead is located at the end of the road.
Participants are asked to dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, bring sun protection, pack a water bottle and check weather conditions before departing.
