Guided mountain climbing and climbing instruction are currently provided by Exum Guide Service and School of Mountaineering, Inc. (doing business as Exum Mountain Guides), and The Mountain Guides (doing business as Jackson Hole Mountain Guides). The Exum Mountain Guide contract became effective on January 1, 2004 and will expire on December 31, 2013. The Jackson Hole Mountain Guide contract became effective January 1, 2003, expired December 31, 2012, and was extended through December 31, 2013. The NPS has determined that the existing concessioners are preferred offerors for the new contracts pursuant to the terms of 36 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 51.

Interested parties may also write to National Park Service, Concessions Management Division, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Denver, CO 80228. The prospectus is also posted online at http://www.concessions.nps.gov.
The cost for a copy of the prospectus is $35 if delivered by Federal Express or $30 if picked up in person. Checks and money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the NPS. A physical address and phone number must be provided to receive a Federal Express package.
Those planning to submit a proposal, and those who have obtained a prospectus from the website, should provide contact information to Jennifer Parker in order to receive amendments to the prospectus or any future responses to questions. Those requesting a hard copy, or who have been placed on the mailing list, will be provided with additional information specific to the prospectus. Information relative to this solicitation will also be posted to the NPS concessions website.
Contract offers must be received by the chief of concessions at the NPS Intermountain Region Office no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013.
