Gold Fire is near Bon Jon Pass, northwest of Quilcene – 10 acres in size. One 20-person hand crew is mopping-up.
Cabin Fire is in the vicinity of Trap Pass, southwest of Quilcene – 8 acres in size. One engine crews is mopping up and monitoring for any remaining smokes.
Our priorities are firefighter and public safety, response to new fires, community and infrastructure protection, and protection of watersheds that supply municipal drinking water.
Closure orders are in place for both public and firefighter safety while suppression efforts are underway.
Ø Gold Fire Vicinity - Forest Road 2820, Forest Road 2820-010, Little Quilcene Trail, and the upper portion of Mt. Townsend Trail.
Ø Cabin Fire Vicinity - Forest Service Road 2530, beyond the 2530-100 Road.
