If you've never fished them before — or if you have, but you want to catch more fish the next time you go — you won't want to miss a free April 8 fishing seminar in Salt Lake City.
The seminar will be presented by two Division of Wildlife Resources biologists — Wayne Gustaveson and Ryan Mosley — who know the waters like the "back of their hand."
Gustaveson has managed the fishery at Lake Powell for more than 39 years, turning it into one of the premier fisheries in the West. Mosley has managed the fishery at Flaming Gorge, also one of the West's premier fisheries, for more than eight years.
DWR Warm Water Sport Fisheries Coordinator Drew Cushing says Gustaveson and Mosley fish the bodies of water they manage every chance they get. "You won't find anyone who understands these bodies of water better than Wayne and Ryan," he says.
Utah's Blue Ribbon Fisheries Advisory Council is sponsoring the free seminar. It will be held April 8, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Department of Natural Resources, 1594 W. North Temple.
