Come and join the TriCounty FireSafe Working Group, FireSafe Montana and the Northern Rockies Prevention and Education Committee for an informational workshop on fire adapted communities; mitigation, forest head and more! Some highlights for the workshop are:
Friday, March 8th - 5 pm – 6 pm: Social hour with appetizers; 6 pm – 8 pm: How a wildfire can impact a community and what is being done locally to prepare
Saturday, March 9th - 8:30 am – 6:00 pm * Local area wildfire history and behavior * Forest stewardship practices * Local evacuation planning * Lessons learned from the Corral Fire and other incidents * State Auditor’s Office – Insurance Division * Ready Montana program * FireSafe Montana membership and benefits
The workshop is open to everyone. Registration is $15/person and is due March 1st. You can register/pay online at: www.firesafemt.org; or drop-off/mail your registration form and fee to Tri-County FireSafe Working Group at 221 Breckenridge, Helena, MT, 59601.
