In the last few weeks, Elkhorn Resort and the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest have been busy clearing trails of trees and branches that were blown down from the September storm that wreaked havoc in the Grasshopper Valley. “The trails have always been there, they just haven’t received as much maintenance in the recent past and we want people to know about these wonderful gems of trails they can enjoy this winter,” said Pete Wakeman of the Beaverhead Trails Coalition.
Also in the works is a new trail map that will be available at the Dillon Ranger District Office and the Elkhorn Resort. The Beaverhead Trails Coalition will be hosting a get out and ski day on the trails in the new year, so stay tuned for more details.
