Anadarko Petroleum Company (APC) is proposing to explore and potentially develop oil and natural gas resources in an area of approximately 36,099 acres in Johnson and Campbell Counties, Wyo. The proposal includes the drilling of about 36 new oil and gas wells using horizontal drilling techniques. The proposed drilling will occur on 24 new well pads. APC will design about 10 of the 24 proposed well pads to accommodate multiple wells per pad.
The target zones for the proposal include the Mowry, Niobrara, Frontier, Sussex, and Shannon formations. The proposal would also include, but are not limited to, the installation of the equipment to facilitate mineral production should wells be commercially productive.
