All six yearlings and burros have been halter-started at the Mantle Wild Horse Adoption and Training Facility. They will arrive in pairs of two and be available for three days each. The yearlings’ photos will be posted on the BLM website and on Facebook.
· Friday, July 17 - Sunday, July 19
The first two yearlings/burros will be available for viewing and bidding at 9 a.m. until the silent competitive bidding closes on Sunday, July 19, at 1 p.m.
· Monday, July 20 - Wednesday, July 22
A new set of yearlings/burros will show up Monday at 9 a.m. and be displayed until Wednesday when the second round of silent competitive bidding closes at 1 p.m.
· Thursday, July 23 - Saturday, July 25
The final set of yearlings/burros will arrive on Thursday at 9 a.m. and be available for viewing and silent competitive bidding until Saturday, July 25 at 1 p.m.
The horses and burros may be viewed at CFD in the Old Frontier Town across from the General Land Office.
All successful adopters need to make their own shipping arrangements for horses they adopt. The BLM Wyoming Wild Horse and Burro Program information booth will be open daily from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily. If any of the horses are not adopted during their three days at CFD, they will be available for adoption, by appointment, at the Mantle Wild Horse Adoption and Training Facilitymantle9@wyomingwireless.com.
Requirements to adopt include: a corral made of pipe or wood and a shelter; a safe, enclosed stock trailer; and the ability to provide for the animal. Bidders must complete an adoption application prior to placing a bid.
