Completed posters are due in the Forest Service office in Livingston at 5242 Highway 89 South, by April 24, 2015. Local community members will judge posters on April 28, with awards presented May 4-7. Winning posters will be displayed at businesses around town that have provided the awards & at the Livingston Public Library.
Students in kindergarten through second grades get to choose the pattern flower to color in any medium they wish. Students in third through fifth grades are to draw and color their own wildflower posters. Poster and contest information is available at participating schools in the county.
“Last year we had over 670 entries, and we expect the same great turnout this year,” said DJ Robb, Poster Coordinator on the Yellowstone Ranger District. This annual, local event compliments the nationwide Forest Service Celebrating Wildflowersprogram. The poster coloring and drawing contest provides an exciting and fun educational event.
