Resources on Fire: There are currently 12 personnel on this incident, including a Type 4 IC (Getty) and 3 engines.
The Bradley Fire was reported July 20th at approximately 4:00 p.m. Due to the location of the fire there was a heavy initial attack response. The Bradley Boy Scout Camp was evacuated in cooperation with Custer County Sheriff’s office, as well as campers in the general area. An area closure (Order Number: 04-13-13-549) went into effect July 23rd to provide for protection to forest visitors from current fire safety hazards and is still in place. The public will be notified as soon as this closure is lifted.
The fire was contained July 23rd at 12:00 p.m. Forest officials allowed boy scouts back into the Bradley Scout Camp that day. Currently, the fire has a complete hand-line and hose lay around the fire perimeter. Engine crews continue to monitor and engage in mop up activities to fully control the fire.
This will be the final fire update for the Bradley Fire unless there is a significant change in fire activity. Any further updates for this incident will be posted to www.inciweb.org
