Salmon Fest is held annually at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery near Leavenworth, Washington and is devoted to fun-filled “edu-tainment”, a form of education and entertainment that is both fun and educational.
The Wenatchee River Salmon Fest’s mission is to connect families and youth to nature by helping people discover and appreciate the diversity and importance of the great outdoors, but also the beauty and interconnectivity of nature to our lives, and to understand and appreciate the cultural significance of salmon to all people.
The festival attracts 10,000 people annually from across the northwest and Canada.
The festival has won many awards during its two decades of history and is recognized internationally for its educational excellence. This free festival is located just two miles away from spectacular Bavarian Leavenworth, the Ultimate Christmas town (featured on “Good Morning America”).
