The assessment analyzes three action alternatives for livestock management on public lands managed by the BLM in the Marcum Mountain vicinity. Alternative A (No Action) would renew the grazing term leases with the existing terms and conditions and grazing use criteria. Alternatives B (Proposed Action) and C would renew the grazing term lease with new and/or revised terms and conditions; install range improvements; and include stream/riparian restoration.
The BLM is now soliciting public comments on the Environmental Assessment. Changes to the assessment may occur in response to public feedback on the action alternatives. If a decision is made based on this Environmental Assessment, the selected action alternative would be implemented in 2015.
