BOISE, Id -- Led by the Mustang Heritage Foundation (MHF) in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the America's Mustang Campaign aims to educate Americans through events and activities that help individuals interact with and learn about wild mustangs. There have been 16 celebration events across the United States, and now they are coming to Idaho!
On July 19, the Idaho Mustang Club will host a trail ride through the Hardtrigger Herd Management Area (HMA) – one of Idaho’s six HMAs where wild horses roaming Idaho’s rangelands may be found. In the spirit of celebrating America’s Mustang, the ride is open to all equines and equestrians! Participants must be ready to ride at 9 a.m. and are encouraged to bring water for their horses, beverages for themselves and a side dish for the potluck that is to follow the ride. Please RSVP to Becky at 208-463-0656 or firstname.lastname@example.org The trail ride will begin from the Wilson Creek Trailhead parking area west of Murphy.
Additional events to celebrate America’s Mustangs are as follows:
· July 11: Idaho Mustang Club to celebrate America’s Mustang in the 100th Anniversary of the Snake River Stampede parade, Nampa
· Extreme Mustang Makeover at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho July 24 – 25
