Registration for the Annual Conference is now open with early bird discounts available through September 14. An online conference planner allows attendees to view conference sessions and events and create a personal conference itinerary.
“This is the 75th anniversary of the Society, and we are pleased to be hosting the conference in Portland,” said Don Whittaker, ODFW wildlife biologist and past president of the Oregon Chapter of The Wildlife Society. “In addition to the excellent programs, we have planned a number of events that showcase Oregon outdoors as well as the food and beverages for which Portland is so well known.”
Event planners are expecting about 2,000 attendees. There will be 435 presentations, 14 workshops, just under 300 posters, more than 60 exhibitors, and five roundtables. There is also time set aside for students to meet and network with professionals. Nearly 30 working group meetings, receptions, and committee meetings will be held in conjunction with the Annual conference. A 75th Anniversary gala will be held Sunday, Oct. 14.
