Hamilton, MT. – The Bitterroot National Forest is cancelling this Saturday’s Moon Walk at Lake Como due to the Valley’s “unhealthy” air quality from smoke coming from large wildfires burning in Idaho. The event will not be rescheduled.
The final Moon Walk of 2012 will take place on Saturday, October 27 at Lake Como. The theme is “Ghost Moon” and the public is invited to join us for a moonlit walk through the woods and for stories around a campfire. We will meet historic Bitterroot Valley ghosts and hear stories of their lives and untimely deaths.
The 2012 Moon Walk series is sponsored by the Bitterroot National Forest and Bitter Root Resource Conservation and Development (RC & D). For more information call the Bitterroot National Forest at (406) 363-7100 or visit our website at www.fs.usda.gov/bitterroot. Click on Special Places.
