ROSEBURG, OR – A segment of Bird’s Point Road (Forest Road 2610) on the Diamond Lake Ranger District will be closed to all traffic from Tuesday, July 31, through Thursday, August 9, 2012, while a new culvert is installed on White Mule Creek. The road will be closed approximately 0.5 miles northwest of the Lemolo Lake. Vehicular access to Lemolo Lake from the south via Highway 138 and 2610 will be unaffected.
The new culvert is designed to protect the road from failure during floods. The project is funded from mitigation funds associated with the North Umpqua Hydropower Project.
