The Air Quality Advisory (AQA) remains in effect, off reservation boundaries, for Latah, Idaho, and Clearwater counties due to the continued wildfire activity in Nez Perce NF, Clearwater NF, and Salmon-Challis NF. The AQA has been lifted for Lewis & Nez Perce Counties. Conditions will be re-evaluated tomorrow by 10:00AM. Salmon River Ranger District –
The Sheep Fire, located seven miles north of Riggins, ID, is presently 47, 483 acres with 41% containment. Fire was active on warmer exposed sites throughout the fires yesterday.
Management of the fire is transitioning to Rick Kusicko’s Type 2 Team at noon today.

Red River Ranger District –
The McGuire Complex Fire is approximately 41,952 acres with 7% containment. Yesterday’s moderate fire behavior resulted in low rates of spread and consisted of single-tree torching and creeping and smoldering.
Management of the McGuire Complex and Porcupine Complex fires is transitioning to Greg Poncin’s Northern Rockies Type 1 Team today.
All Evacuation Orders remain in place: Stage 3 Evacuation Order by Idaho County Sheriff for Concord, Mallard Creek Ranch, Cook Ranch, Dixie/Comstock and Orogrande residents, Stage 2 Evacuation Order for the Red River area and Stage 1 Protection Alert for the Elk City area.
Road Closures: Road 222 is closed to all access, including residents, from Trapper Creek Road south to the community of Dixie. Conditions permitting, a pilot car will escort residents from the Trapper Creek Road junction into Dixie at 8:00 a.m. each day; the pilot car will leave Dixie at 9:00 a.m. to escort residents to the Trapper Creek Road junction. Forest Road 1190 from Trapper Creek to Dixie Summit is closed to all access, including residents. Forest Road 1190 from Trapper Creek and Forest Road 421 from Red Mail Box to the Whitewater area are closed to all nonresidents. The Crooked River Road, at the junction with Highway 14, is closed to everyone except residents.

The Porcupine Fire Complex is reporting 32,297 acres and 0% contained. The Magruder Road (FR 468) is closed from the junction of Green Mt. Road (FR 285) to Observation Point for public safety during active wildfire conditions. Powell Ranger District –
Both the Powell SBW Complex and Weasel Complex Fires are reporting minimal activity - Powell SBW Complex at approximately 55,622 acres and the Weasel Complex reporting approximately 1000 acres. There are area, road and trail closures in effect for the fire areas. Please follow wildfire fighting personnel directions when you are in the area. Be prepared for heavy smoke in the area of Highway 12 near Powell, ID. Drive with your headlights on for your safety.
North Fork Ranger District –
Isabella Complex active. The 710 Road is now open. All other road and trail closures remain in effect: FR 252, FR 720 at Fly Hill, FR 705, Lost Ridge Trail 283 from the junction of FR 252 to the junction of Trail 233, Forest Trail 285, and Isabella Creek Trail 95 from the junction of FR 705 to the junction of Trail 399. If you are in the area of these fires, be prepared for the Management Teams preventing you from unrestricted area access.
Moose Creek Ranger District –
New total acreage is estimated at 47,786.
There are area, road and trail closures in effect for the fire areas. Please follow wildfire fighting personnel directions when you are in the area.
Wesley Fire, Payette National Forest
The Wesley Fire had minimal activity yesterday. The current acreage is 15, 263 and it is 53% contained. There is a portion of the Nez Perce NF Salmon River Ranger District that is closed to entry due to the Wesley Fire. This fire is burning north-northwest of New Meadows, ID.
Management of the fire transitions to a Type 3 (local) Team on Saturday.
