Hamilton, MT. – The second annual Lost Trail Bike Fest & Shuttle Extravaganza will take place this weekend at Lost Trail Ski Area on the Bitterroot National Forest. The event begins on Friday night with registration and camping at the ski area. On Saturday, riders will hit the trails winding their way off Lost Trail Pass and down Warm Springs Ridge into the east fork of the Bitterroot. Riders will choose from 6 trails, ranging from intermediate to expert. Forest trails included in the ride are Warm Springs, Fire Creek, Porcupine, Warm Springs Creek, Colter Creek, and Shields Creek Trails. All trailheads will be posted with event information alerting the public that there will be cyclists on the trails. The Lost Trail Bike Fest is organized by the Bitterroot Backcountry Cyclists and is authorized under a special use permit.
