The BLM is considering a direct sale of eight parcels of public land totaling 208.12 acres in Sheridan County, Wyo., at no less than the appraised fair market value to Farmland Reserve, Inc. Farmland Reserve, Inc. submitted a proposal to the BLM in October 2011 expressing interest in purchasing 208.12 acres of public land in Sheridan County.
Due to the ownership pattern, these parcels are difficult for BLM to manage and there is no legal public access. The proposal conforms to the BLM Buffalo Resource Management Plan (RMP) approved on Oct. 4, 1985, and these parcels are identified for disposal in the RMP Record of Decision.
