Following is a description for the available positions being hired:
Dispatch - Wildland fire dispatchers work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with long hours where duties vary on a day-to-day basis. They dispatch aircraft, equipment and personnel to wildland fires with the use of radios, telephones and numerous computer programs to help suppress fires.
Fire Support - These positions support wildland fire managers and firefighters by working with budgets, processing time and travel documents, managing business training records and assisting with incident support and purchases.
Fuels - Fuels technicians conduct prescribed fires, collect fuel inventory data, and complete piling and thinning operations as part of project work on wildland fire fuels as well as support fire suppression when needed. They gather data and record information on fuel types, weather conditions, and fire behavior.
